A few steps back...
Ok, so maybe I spoke too soon when I was bragging about feeling so well. I ran into my doctor at work the other day and I told him that I was feeling so great he asked me if I was great great or just kind-of great. I said that actually I feel really good and he proceeded with "that's not so good". Shoot me down will ya! He said that as I have heard before morning sickness is a good sign. It means that everything is working as it should and up through 12 weeks although they don't like to see me down all day and dehydrated they do like to see some nausea. Great. He said that we could do an ultrasound just to make sure everything's ok, but at only 7 weeks, we may or may not hear/see a heartbeat because it is too early. He told me to see how I feel over the weekend and if I still feel so well on Monday then I better call his office and get in for an ultrasound. I will be just over 7 weeks by a few days. I have been feeling fine mostly. I have not been nauseated or vomiting. I have been feeling dizzy and lightheaded but otherwise fine. I like to think it was just the medication and I've gotten ahead of the game and being able to eat I am feeling well. We will have to see. I am extremely tired-exhausted is more like it so I feel like something has to be working, but we will just pray and hope for the best. Update soon! If anything, we'll be lucky and just get an early peek at our little one and everything will be fine.......

6 weeks and counting...
So we are halfway through our 7th week and it's hit and miss on how I've been feeling. It started about 5 1/2 weeks...the nausea and vomiting. I lost 3 pounds in 3 days. A good feeling to lose but for the wrong reasons obviously and earlier than I experienced with Hunter. I called the doctors office and they called me in some anit-nausea medicine. It didn;t work for me with Hunter either, but they instructed me to use it differently this time and YYAAHHHHH it has been working! I have been taking it every 4 hours for a week. I have stayed on top of it and am able to eat and keep food down and luckily enough, I'm not even feeling nauseated-most of the time! I am down to taking it every 6-8 hours or as needed and am feeling ok so hopefully we have nipped it in the bud so to speak!! Our first appointment is scheduled for March 18th we will be just about 10 weeks. Will update as more comes available.

It's official!! We're Expecting!!!
A welcome addition

Positive

So since I have it posted on our counter at the bottom of the blog in a more discreet place, I thought I would make a more official announcement so that no one thinks that we are excluding them. We are expecting! We are not that far along. About five weeks as you can keep track of by the counter at the bottom of the blog. Our estimated due dat by calculations is October 15th or 16th we will get a more defined date when we see the doctor in March. It seems like forever away! I do not think I can wait that long to have more of a confirmation! So far I am feeling really good with the exception of being tired and having a few bouts of indigestion I am doing well. We will update as there is information to update!

Hunters First Haircut!

Bad Hair Day!!!

I won't wear this smock!! They're for girls!

Look Mom! I get to drive my owm car!

Now for the best part of all....SLIDE!!
So I have been debating for a while about when I should get Hunters hair cut for the first time. He has been known to have a "mullett" from time to time-especially when his hair is wet. I think this morning defined the need when I took the following pictures.
So we went to Cookie Cutters and got his first haircut. He got to sit in a flame painted race car and watch Barney-Yahh! It was not the easiest thing ever, but for my son, it definately could have been worse! He would NOT wear the smock so he was covered in hair, therefore, I was covered in hair! All in all, it turned out well. He looks very much like a little boy and not a baby or a toddler even, so it is a little bittersweet to see him growing. He was mostly interested in the slide that they have and couldn't wait to get over to it! ALso, the balloon and the sucker that accompanied it were a nice treat-for him. The sucker was naturally covered in hair-why a hair place gives out sticky suckers is beyond me and he kept losing the balloon in the car creating a wonderful reason to whine all the way home....

Doggie Bath

Let me get you all wet!

Here, I've got the shower for you...

Now... get away from me!
Hunter was taking a bath and Harley came wandering into the bathroom.....big mistake! He decided that he needed to give Harley a bath! By the end neither of them were enjoying things too much! Harley was getting drowned and Hunter was getting scratched the crap out of. Oh well. A learnig experience huh?

Potty Time...Yah Right!
Please daddy, it's not the same without bubbles!
I'm trying to be a big boy now!So Hunter has not been interested in the potty as many of you may have heard, which would be fine with the exception that he has become fond of taking off his diaper when EVER he has gone in it! You can imagine how much fun that has been. So yesterday he came running up to me and said "poopy" so I asked him if he would like to try the big boy potty and he said "yes" and went running to the bathroom. As I take off his diaper I realize that he has already gone, but figure it is good for practice so I continue to put him on the seat-now he proceeds to throw his back out and whine. I thought to myself "we have come this far you are going to sit on the potty at least for a picture :)" So I do the next thing that comes to mind...bribery! I say "do you want a piece of candy?" and he yells "yes cany" so I agree to give him some if he "tries" to go potty. We sit for 30 seconds and he is begging for bubbles as if that is the most ideal way to spend time on the toilet and we get down. That was that. We did try once today, but I think we are still worlds away from a life without diapers, which is ok with me as long as they stay on the bum!!
