Happy 2nd Birthday Hunter!

Friends at my party!!

We had a great time and a wonderful turnout at Hunters 2nd birthday! All of his best friends and cousins were there as well as all of his aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpas! We appreciate all of you who came, it really makes all the difference! The kids had a blast running all of their energy out in the gym-no noise restrictions-what more could you ask for?

Barney Cake!! Yum Yum!!

We didn't really theme this party because there isnot much Hunter is "in to" but he does love Barney and so he got a Barney cake which he picked out and the only other thing he asked for was "yellow balloons" he loves yellow!

New Big Boy Bike!! WOW!

This bike is a little big for him, but he will grow into it nicely-especially by next spring. He looks super cute on it either way!

STITCHES!!!!

So on tax day, our sweet little "IRS Deduction" showed us just how much money he can cost us in the mean time! I got off of work at 3:00PM, made a stop by A-1 Kitchens and visited Leslie and ws home by 4:30. Adam and I were at the computer looking at a few things when Hunter (who isn't allowed in our room-for this very reason) started throwing a tantrum because he couldn't keep my chapstick! I swear the world was actually coming down on top of him-it really was THAT bad!! Well, he got to see just how bad it can get because he threw himself on the ground his eyebrow meeting our metal bedframe on the way. He immediately started crying-he's a pretty tough kid, but considering the sound, I wasn't too surprised. Not wanting to coddle too much since it did result of his own snotty behavior, I didn't jump right up. Well, he came up right away with blood gushing dowm his face and a huge laceration to his left eyebrow. I knew right away we would be spending a lengthy amount of time that night at the E.R. we settled him down with an Otter Pop and packed up to head to the hopsital (as if I hadn't spent enough time there already that day!) We got back right away-he looked like a train wreck with blood EVERYWHERE so it may have looked worse than it actually was.
They tried glueing it together, but Hunter wouldn't leave it alone long enough for it to close properly. They decided to go for stitches. The doctor reccomended that I amy wait outside as Hunter would be looking at me and feeding off my reaction- I agreed that would be best as I was ready to fall apart as it was. It took about ten minutes and he was done with 4 stitches, happy, tired and with 2 red popsicles as promised by the nurses.
They took great care of us there and we were out in 3 hours-this seems like a long time, but for an E.R. visit that is relatively quick.

Easter Morning!

We had a nice Easter. I was a bit tired as I worked unitl 3:00 a.m. on Sunday but it was easy to get up with the kids so excited! Hunter came out and the "Easter Bunny" had hidden candy filled eggs all over the house and the baskets were hidden too. Before we could even make it into the hallway, Hunter had found the eggs, opened one and eaten the chocolate through the paper! It was funny! He loved his basket because of all the CANEE!!! He is obsesses with candy and had a major meltdown when he couldn't partake of everything in his basket as he wished. Trystin had fun too, but because he is older, the bunny had hidden his basket harder! It took him a while to find his. They both got a bunch of eggs, candy and nice treats from the Easter Bunny.
When got dressed and headed to church for Easter Service which was nice and had another Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the youth group. Of course we have the inside scoop with Aaron being in youth so the kids had a fun and FAIR time with each kid limited to 10 eggs each. The little ones went first and didn't understand when they had collected 10 eggs but couldn't get anymore-they still saw eggs and it didn't make sense to them, but it all turned out good! Happy Easter!

Carter, Hunter and Mackenzie in the log cabin

Hunter and the Bunny! Cool Dude!

Trystin and The Easter Bunny! High Five!
So we(Kristen, Tristen and I) took the kids (Carter, Mackenzie, Trystin and Hunter) to the Fm100 Easter Egg hunt at heritage park. It was a lot of fun. Way too many people and not enough eggs, but fun none the less! The kids got to meet the Easter Bunny, have cotton candy, fat boys, popcorn and other unhealthy junk! We were pretty beat by the end, but it was worth it-the kids all had a great time

Coloring Eggs!

I will not do anything you say and I won't pose for a picture!!

I want more Yellow Eggs!!!

Hunter just wanted to eat the egg...shell and all!

Amber and Trystin with their "creations"

Well... let's just say that was a bit of a trial! Hunter does not understand ANYTHING about waiting or being helped. It is just not in his his dictionary! He grabbed a cup of bright pink and flung it on the floor while I was trying to mix the colors and was obsessed with YELLOW EGGS Trystin did well and had a good time. Amber cam eover one night to and helped. Overall it was well, lets be honest....tiring and exhausting and a mess, but FUN! The eggs turned out cute and we got some good memories out of it too!
